Level 1 Golf Coordinators Course
Coaching Accreditation - Level 1 Golf Coordinators Course
Golf coaching can be a very rewarding experience for both the player trying to improve their skills, and the coach assisting in the development of a golfer. Coaches are integral in golf because they often provide the first experience for beginners and are vital in developing golfers of all standards.
The Level 1Golf Coordinators Course is designed for the beginner/intermediate coach and represents the first level of the National Coaching Accreditation Scheme. The target group includes schoolteachers, golf club personnel interested in developing junior golf, parents and late secondary and tertiary students. Participants require an official Australian handicap, or need to be a sports studies/physical education tertiary student, or a trained teacher.
The course expands on the basic skills of golf. It also covers the role of the coach, physical and mental preparation, safety, and organisation. Participants are also required to undertake 25 hours practical coaching after the course to achieve their accreditation.
